Tom Riddle/ Lord Voldemort

Tom Riddle had a very unhappy childhood. He was born in the year 1925. His muggle father, upon discovering his wife's wizard heritage, fled before he was born. His mother died right after naming him. He was sent to live in an orphanage until he was 11, when he was sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Special arrangements were made so he could stay at the school during the summer, rather then go to his orphanage. He slowly worked his way from normal student, to Prefect, to Head Boy. In his seventh year, he learned of his heritage as decendant of Salazar Slytherin, and his ability to talk to snakes. He used his talent to set the Basilisk upon the muggleborn students. But when he heard this could mean his eternal inprisonment in the orphanage, since the school would be closed if the culprit wasn't caught. So he pinned it on his classmate, Rubeus Hagrid. After leaving school, Tom became emmersed in The Dark Arts. He began by using a new name, Lord Voldemort. He then began gathering followers, which he called Death Eaters. He began lashing out at the entire Wizard World. His reign of terror seemed endless, until he turned his powers against the infant, Harry Potter. Harry had a magical protection placed on him, which caused him to revert into a mere shadow of his former self, without even a body. He was forced to hide in a forest for the next decade, until a teacher from Hogwarts, where the headmaster would be hiding the Philosopher's Stone. He nearly succeeded in stealing the stone, but was stopped again by Harry Potter. He lay low for 2 years, that is, his present self did. However, his past self, at age 17, magically was able to open The Chamber of Secrets again and the Basilisk petrified many of the students. However his plan, once again, was thwarted by the 12-year old Harry Potter. In the year 1995, he transported his enemy to a graveyard to witness The Dark Lord's Rebirthing Ceremony. Harry narrowly escaped, and Voldemort started work on his next big plan. His plan was to manipulate Harry into bringing him a magical prophecy that he hoped would contain information on how to destroy his nemisis. Harry destroyed the prophecy and, with the help of Albus Dumbledore, drove him back into hiding.
