Rex Raptor placed second in the North American Continental Championship, losing only to Haga Incector (Weevil Underwood). Shortly after, he was invited to Pegasus's tournament on Duelist Kingdom and got the last private room on the cruise liner and soon got into a fight with Mai Kujaku (Mai Valentine) over the room, and had a Duel to settle it. If Mai won, Ryuzaki would clear out, but if Ryuzaki won, Mai had to give him a kiss. Mai beat him easily, and he had to sleep in to cabin with everyone else who didn't get a private room. On the Island, he won five Star Chips before challenging Mai again. She said she wouldn't Duel him again unless he beat the only one who beat her, Katsuya Jonouchi (Joey Wheeler). His plan backfired and he was kicked off the island. He was also invited to the Battle City Tournament and lost again, this time to Esper Rober (Espa Roba). He is currently soul-less and under control of The Oracle.
