Greedo was raised by his mother, Neela, in a small jungle village. His clan was soon moved to Nar Shadaa. He then became a street punk. His family was killed in an Imperial attack, leaving Greedo an orphan. He found a way off-world by befriending Bounty hunters Dyyz Nataz and Spurch Goa. He worshipped Goa, and Goa pretended to be his friend, while in reality he was debating the fastest way to get rid of his smelly admirer. When landing on Tatooine, Goa set him up with the Solo bounty. He finally confronted him at a cantina. Greedo got off a shot, which missed, giving Solo the chance to shoot from under the table. And as a final indignity, the bartender ground his pheromone lace remains into a cocktail for Jabba The Hutt.
