Obi-Wan Kenobi was born 57 years before the Battle of Yavin. He was trained from infancy in the ways of the Jedi Order.
He received training from the masters. At thirteen, he was given a job in the Jedi Agricultural Corps. During this time, he
met Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and helped him foil a plot by his renegade apprentice, Xanatos. Impressed, Qui-Gon took the boy
as his Padawan. Obi-Wan was excited visiting far off worlds with Qui-Gon. However, on the planet Melida/Daan, Kenobi turned
his back on the Jedi and joined a group called the Young, who were trying to defeat their elders and end the planetary civil
war. However, this proved short lived and he soon returned, determined to become the ideal Jedi. He succeeded this time. Jinn
and Kenobi made an excellent team, often pairing up with Master Adi Gallia and her apprentice Siri Tachi. About a year before
the Battle of Naboo, he, Qui-Gon, and several other Jedi were sent to quell an uprising by the Yinchorri. No one knew that
the whole thing was staged by Darth Sidious. Believing an assasination attempt was going to be made on Chancellor Valorum
during his speech on Eriadu, Kenobi was distracted from Sidious's real target, the Trade Federation directorate. On the orders
of Darth Sidious, Nute Gunray and the Trade Federation blockaded the planet Naboo. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were dispensed to negotiate
with Gunray. However, they were attacked and escaped to Naboo. They freed captives in the city of Theed and fled to Tatooine.
It was there that Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan first met Anakin Skywalker, a slave who they freed and brought with them to Coruscant.
During the Battle of Naboo, they came into conflict with Sidious's apprentice, Darth Maul. Jinn was killed in the conflict,
leaving Obi-Wan to face the Sith Lord alone. He killed Maul and attained the rank of Jedi Knight. As a final favor to Jinn,
he took Anakin as his apprentice. However, Anakin proved a difficult student, full of pent up rage. He would also commonly
go into the Coco Streets to scrounge things from scrap piles to built new mechanisms. However, he soon learned and carried
out several successful missions, including a difficult border dispute on Ansion. After that, they received orders to guard
Senator Padmé Amidala. Obi-Wan was disturbed to discover that Anakin had an infatuation with her, but found little time to
discuss it with his apprentice, as he was soon after sent to Kamino, where he met the Senator's would-be-assasin, Jango Fett.
He followed him to Geonosis, where he uncovered the plans of the Separatist organization, but was captured and sentenced to
death. Meeting up with Anakin and Amidala. There execution blossomed into the Battle of Geonosis, which started the Clone
Wars. During the wars he became a general. Early in the Clone Wars, he was captured by the Asaji Ventress and taken to Rattatak.
He was tortured severely, but managed to escape. Near the end, Anakin fell to the dark side, becoming Darth Vader. He confronted
his former pupil on Mustafar, ending with Anakin's falling into a pit of lava. He escaped with Amidala and helped her give
birth to twins. He sent Luke to Tatooine to live with his aunt and uncle and Leia to Alderaan to be raised by Bail Organa.
He stayed on Tatooine to watch Luke's up bringing. On one occasion, Luke and his friend Windy took a ride on their pet Dewback
into the desert. The Dewback was eaten by a Krayt Dragon and the two were stranded. Kenobi took them back to the homestead.
Owen Lars, Luke's uncle, forbid him to come back to his homestead again. When Luke brought Obi-Wan a hologram contained in
the databanks of R2-D2, an astromech droid. He hired a pilot, Han Solo, to take him to Alderaan. However, during the
flight, the ship was sucked into the Empire's Death Star. Obi-Wan disabled the tractor beam before being brought into conflict
with Darth Vader, now aided by a great deal of machinery to breath. The two engaged in a lightsaber duel, but when Kenobi
saw that Luke had gotten out alive, he sacrificed himself, becoming one with the Force. However, his spirit stayed, dispencing
advice and guidance to Luke.
