Pegasus was born into a rich family in America. At one of his parents parties, he met Cynthia (Cecelia) and fell in love instantly. When they grew older, he became a painter and they where engaged. However, soon after their marrage, Cynthia died of a terrible disease. After that, he took a trip to Egypt, where he was given the Millenium Eye, which was put into his left eye socket and gave him the power to read minds. Shortly afterwards, he reproduced some of the pictures he saw on the Egyptian monuments onto playing cards and made a game based on the Shadow Games described in the Heiroglyphics. He planned to use the power of the Millenium Items and Kaiba Corp.'s technology to bring back Cynthia, so he made a deal with Kaiba's board of directors to capture Mokuba Kaiba and merge Kaiba Corp. and his company, Industrial Illusions. He also started to try to gather the Millenium Items by inviting all the owners of them to his tournament on his private island, Duelist Kingdom. In the finals, he ended up Dueling Yugi Motou, owner of the Millenuim Puzzle, who had to beat Pegasus in exchange for his grandfather's soul. Pegasus lost, and he had to release his soul. Soon after, he was challenged to a magical face off against the dark side of Ryou Bakura, owner of the Millenium Ring and lost his Millenium Eye to him. Since then, he seems to have dropped off the face of the planet.
