During the Exar Kun War, Saul Karath was a Republic hero, having been part of the fleet that defeated him. However, when the Jedi Revan and Malak turned to the dark side and rebelled against the Republic, he went with them and became an enemy. One of his first missions was to attack the planet Telos, which was bombed flat, killing nearly everyone and everything. During the hunt for Bastila, one of his former officers, Carth Onasi killed him in revenge for the attack on his home planet. Before dieing, however, he divulged information on what had happened to Revan.
