Ak-rev was born on Sriluur in the capital city of Al-Campur, where is spent his early life studying at the temple of Am-Shak, the Weequays' god of thunder. He was an orphan and despite his religious devotion, he fell into a life in underworld crime as a part of the street gang. But, he still donated some of the money he made to the temple. During this time, he became seriously dedicated to his drum playing. This and his underworld connections lead him to a career as a member of Jabba's houseband, which led him to a job as a member of the Max Rebo Band. It is unknown what happened to him after the death of Jabba the Hutt.
