Canderous showed early signs of being one of the most cunning warriors since Mandalore himself. The most powerful member of the clan Ordo, he was a veteran of the Mandalorian Wars, losing against the Republic. He was honored to fight, however, and was honored to be defeated by such cunning warriors as the Jedi Knights Revan and Malak. After the wars, he fell into the service of Davik Kang, head of the Tarisian branch of the Exchange criminal syndicate. When the planet was quarantined during the Sith War, he turned on his boss, aiding three stranded Republic Soldiers obtain the necessary codes to brake through the Sith blockade. Taking the three to Kang's estate and telling the crime lord they wished to join the Exchange, they were able to kill Davik and steal his flagship: the Ebon Hawk. He took the group to Dantooine, where the group received a mission to find four star maps pointing to the location of the Sith's fulcrum of power, the Star Forge, a factory/battle station fueled by the dark side of the Force. During these travels he met Jagi, a rival of his as a young man, who challenged him to a blaster duel, ending with Canderous as the victor. When the crew of the Hawk was captured by the Leviathan, Canderous was thrilled to learn that one of the Republic soldiers that he had met on Taris was really an amnesiac Revan, a military hero of his. He stuck by the soldier's side and helped end the Sith War.
