Dash was famous for his underworld activities, frequenting the Sabbac tables of the galaxy. His brother, Stanton, worked in the family transport company, RenTrans. However, when Stanton's ship malfunctioned, it ran into one of Palpatine's ships, destroying countless Jedi and Sith arifacts. As a result, the Rendar family was exiled, Dash expelled from the Academy, and their holdings given to Xizor Transport Systems. With no money, Dash became a freelance mercenary. He finally scrounged up enough credits to buy a Correllian freighter called the Outrider. He also recieved a droid co-pilot, LE-BO2D9 AKA Leebo, from a comedian on Rodia. He flourished as a member of the smuggling community, commonly taking jobs smuggling food and supplies for the Rebel Alliance because Captain Han Solo was a friend of his. During a delivery to the Rebel base on Hoth, Dash actually commandeered an abandoned snow speeder and shot down one of the incoming AT-AT walkers. After Han Solo was captured, he joined the rescue effort as a favor to another friend he had in the war effort, Lando Calrissian. He went on several covert operations. The major one was on Coruscant, were Rendar, Skywalker, and Calrissian infiltrated Prince Xizor's castle. On the way off the planet, the Outrider struck a peice of space junk and was apparantly destroyed. However, a human replica droid belonging to Xizor met him on Hurd's Moon. How Dash servived is unknown.
